Got a new carrier in about a week. So far they are good, have about 180 on the rear ones, gonna put some more miles on them and change the fluid on saturday while the tires get done. Ended up leaving the front at .004 when the specs are 5-10 i think? I didn't want to chisel the bearings off again.

Thanks guys, i've been getting a lot of feedback from random people on how nice it looks.

Talked with a friend, and i think im going to go with 35's and worry about the gears later on.

make sure you go to the DMV and get the color changed on your registration. When my friend restored his YJ he changed it from green to grey and cops used to bust his balls all the time.

I said the same thing. Did 35s and stock 3:55 gears and i hated life for 2 years until i could afford to re gear. Stick with what you have and gear it 4:55s or better 4:88s. I wish i had 4:88s after doing 4:55s

Would it really be that bad going 35's on 4:10's? if i have to gear again im going to stay on 33's unless i take this off the street and throw some beef axles in.

                        And just because:

No it would not be terrible on 4:10s, BUT it wont be great. I did 35s on 3:55s for 2 years and i hated life. I went to 4:56s after that and i was disapointed. It was basically back to stock gear to tire ratio. If i did it again id do 33's and 4:56s or 35s and 4:88s. Just to have that extra torque and power.

How did it do on gas ? Im am thinking of 4.56s on 33s for power but its my dd and i need it to be decent on gas or better than it is now lol. I have 33s and 3.55s right now i was thinking of doing what dave did 4.10s on 33s.

the 35s and 4:56s was about the same as stock, maybe a little less then stock gas mileage because of the added weight, height and tire width etc.

35 and 3:55s like i said, i hated life. I think i prolly got about 10mpg on highway. On highway it was doing about 3000 roms and going up hills i had no power and was close to 4500 rpms. It was terrible.

4:56 and 33s should be a nice setup, more torque then stock, feels like more power and should do just about average on gas.

I got 11 on highway with 3:55's and and 33x10.5 at's, Last time i check with the new gears and the 33x12.5 mt's i got about 11 on town with a little wheeling involved. Haven't check recently because my jeep is idling at about 2 grand in park, and the rpm's don't drop when i let off the gas. checked all the vac lines and everything seems to be in order.
