  • There are definetly companies that sell flanges that you can pull after wheeling. Just throw the cap back on and it's just like having manual hubs.

That shit is awesome. Matt from master-pull was doing that when we were in California at KOH. It would still be comp legal right??

I'm not sure how much Sam spent on his, but I do remember him saying they are extremely rare.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I would think it would be much easier to just pick up a full float 60(which are cheap), shorten it to the right width and weld on new spindles. You might have to go with custom chromo shafts, but you aren't breaking a 35spl. shaft unless you're running close to 40" rubber.

P.S. Owen dropped a link in his build thread for those drive slugs.

                  • basically when you needed to turn really tight, you'd unlock the rear, apply brake the left or right brake in the rear ( cutting brakes) and you would pivot around that one rear tire. Yes comp legal.

                    • Are cutting brakes legal tho??? in class two I don't think they are.You just have gas it with the e brake on... i think... pretty sure. I will look into it because it was interesting when matt did it.

                      • after talking to Justin about it, im pretty sure cutting brakes are legal....

I just need to clarify with someone on what this rule means

                        No independent wheel manipulation.

                        Also

NO disengaging of rear axles (no front dig/burn). Doing so will result in immediate disqualification.

I wouldnt be doing any burns or digs, I would still be sending power to both axles, just only 3 wheels and use the one rear wheel not getting power as a pivot point.

                        • blew a brake hose at rausch last month.. havent had time to fix it until today... it was a Rubicon express SS braided line... I guess it wasnt long enough because it stretched and fucked part of the line up..

Replacement: 20 dollar OEM dodge hose... fucking mint and way over kill. its super long.

                            • No independent wheel manipulation means you cannot disengage a single wheel from the rest of the drive train. They must all be in functioning order from the beginning to the end of the course. I do not believe the use cutting brakes is allowed.
