          • I kinda like the idea of the whole thing being blue... it would be different.

            • back when i did my wheels it was either orange or blue

but orange would make it look like a creamsicle on my white jeep

this one will look like a jack-0-lantern when orange methinks

                • I think the Orange would look sweet with the black. Im going to do charcol or gunmetal accents with my DD.

                  • the 240k mile injun is gawn

i has 130k mile injun now

                    it has moar balls

2 psi moar oil pressure (still sucks)

                    less leaks

and no more bottom end noise

gonna give it a compression test and see if its worth puttin an oil pump in

if the compression sucks im gonna run some 15-40 in the bitch

                        • sam, are you getting the oil pressure based on the dash gauge? I had a problem with my 97 reading low on the dash, so I changed the oil pressure sending unit, still was low, so I hooked up a mechanical gauge and it just was the actual dash gauged broken, the mechanical gauge rode about 20 psi higher.

the last engine with the mechanical guage read the same as the dash guage

                            low

ima put a real guage in this bitch before i figure anything out.

the jeep was fine for about 60 miles last night

then today i started getting what i can best describe as "torque converter chatter"

its a vibration/chattery noise coming from the bell housing and its getting worse.

happens at certain rpm's sitting, and under certain loads while driving (lugging the engine for the most part)

torque converter bolts are all tight.

i did swap in the converter from a 96 with 60k miles

the internets dont say anything about this being a common problem

                            so this could be fun

i is doing this right meow

just installed the monte carlo rear calipers because im sick of the eldorado calipers and having a useless e-brake. all 4 35" km2's at 25 psi now lock right up on dry pavement at 70 mph with minimal brake pedal input. it' stops like any normal car, its amazing.

i need to get to the welding shop monday to fix mah welder, then i shall modify my tnt belly pan to my liking.

other things i might get around to before the comp (6 days)

bend trackbar so it dont hit mah dana44

                                eat a few cheeseburgers
rear recovery point (yea i kinda need that don't i?)
                                finish up the front crossmember
