Bent up some tube for the front axle and welded on some Ballistic KP gussets/shock mounts. That should be everything except maybe some bump stop pads. The lifting eye is there for mock up, location of it will depend on where I set my winch.

trials and tribulations, I am a jackass
start... one sunday, too many beers, Ballistic 14 bolt shave kit.
cut the bottom of the housing...

...too much; serious

Well I saved my own ass, I cut a filler piece out of .5" plate.

I stick welded everything with 7018, preheated and post heated, used a 400 degree Tempilstick... cooled down with no cracks and all the bolt holes line up!

I used a large lathe to cut my ring gear... and a 6" grinder... watch yer fingers. Cut to 10"

lol I suck at tube, I guess that is better than sucking on tubeOriginally posted by Trailer Ray View Postnothin im just busting balls. looks great, theres t00b errywhere up in that bitch.
front frame section a spent some serious time with a tape measure trying to get it right and I cut it short and it is horribly wrong...

oh yea and I'm lovin the sick low stance, I can use my radiator to prop my hood up
(off the front upper arms at ride height)

back to the drawing board. I am going to re-cut and cap the frame (along the yellow line) so the tube butts to it without cutting an angle... also gotta re bend the front frame so its a little longer this time
. As far as a radiator I am looking at options for a smaller one or might just run a rear rad

Got the front tube work right this time, and chopped 4" out of the grill

Mock up with the winch, testing my tack welds. With the grill angled like that I am looking at fitting a 16"x 24" Griffen aluminum radiator
Trans crossmember.
boogers...

Fit pretty well

yea and the best part is, it should hold even less oil now which is great, I have to spend less time filling it.Originally posted by clean4drxj View Postreguardless if you cut the 14b wrong , your fix worked out perfect, looks great so far
anytime manOriginally posted by stockk5 View Postowen your outta control... ill have to stop by and see this.
Yup definately me, I stopped there many times with it, last time was last August, which was the last time I wheeled it somewhere other than my house... Well the old second gen Dodge is gone now and the Jeep will be drastically different from before... even thinkin about grabbing a new trailer... gotta get the jeep done first.Originally posted by ct67_72 View PostLooks great man.
