Got some small updates nothng crazy, Im making a rear bumper, and soon front, for my girlfriends cherokee. This is also acting as a prototype for the bumpers im going to be offering soon.

Making the mounts, the ones I make for producton will have somthing bigger then 2x2x1/4''. These are just tacked together to make sure i got the distance right.

The bulk of the bumper 3x4 box, cut at a 30 degree angle on each end.

      Capping the ends

      ground smooth

Im gonna finish it up prob tommorow. It will have a hitch and d-ring mounts etc, etc, you will see it in the forsale thread pretty soon.

nope, people were offering me lower prices than what i paid you for them so I'm just going to keep them for when i get another d30 to build.

So I made some rear window sliders to try and cut down on how many aluminum windows I have.

Everything looks great. I like the window slider idea. What i have seen alot of other people do is take the Olympic Top Hat Roof rack idea to another level. Remove the gutters, and weld on tubing along the roof line and blend it in to the A and D pillars (if you dont want a whole cage.) That would give you the gutter rail protection you need to help out with the window busting issue.

So I'm doing a little work this week in between homework and whatnot, im implanting a longarm setup and raising the rear shock mounts. I wont have any pics of the longarms till later in the week. I was hell bent on making my own but i was running out of time between my arms that i have now wearing out and ordering all the parts i need and the time spent to make it in between studying for my mechanical engneering degree and workng 35 to 40 hours a week..So my friend had a brand new set of krustys long arms never used..I pretty much sang a song for them so I'll give them a go and see what they are made of..I can always cut them up later! I modified my belly skid to work with the crossmember, but pics of that later..

I took some 1 1/2 x 1 1/2 square and mounted it into the notcher with a 3 inch hole saw to match the axle tune diameter of a 8.25

Came out with a perfect notch

Bought some grade 8 bolts that were the perfect size to fit in the shock, and the head fits near perfect inside the square to weld up inside and out.

This is the end result, a super simple shock mount

Also got the tie in system for the bumpers we are putting together, it works out great, it uses the nut insert thats already in the unibody and a nutsert you put in urself.

The prototype bumper is installed on my gf's XJ so ill get some pics when its light out and not raining

So after running short on time with school, and money because I'm buying a house, I had to shy away from making my own long arms for the moment but i got a steal on a set of rustys long arms new n box never used (spare me the rustys blah blah there fine)..I didnt use all the rustys hardware, just the crossmember, and there were these 2 holes going through the crossmember which I used to bolt to the belly skid.
