Personally don't care for the walmart batteries. My recommendation would be the napa legend or any diehard.

Are you planing on rolling? then run a dry cell battery. Deep cycle if it sits a lot. I asked the Interstate battery guy what the difference in a Deep cycle he said just thicker cells.

As far as the dry cell batteries they're known for being awesome when there new and have a short life and when they die they don't give much warning.

I had a red top in my old CJ I would leave the lights on all day at work and still start fine, last my alternator on the highway drove a couple hours but after 3 years barely held a charge.

I run the yellow top now, rolling is going to happen.
Also left the key on a couple times died completely recharged no problem lost the alternator on the trail never new until I got home no issues but I expect to need a new one in another year, just the nature of the sport.

The garage I worked at swears by interstate batteries

My friend is the same way with an 01 XJ red top for 3 plus years. It seems the reds last longer then the yellows.

Optimas are junk....Mine only lasted 2 yrs...

Get a normal battery and mount it correctly.
