Been waiting to get the motor back in for pictures, but i pulled the whole driveline to start building the motor. the driveline will be going back in next weekend to get the firewall and whats left of the tub in.
I have tube bent for the subframe but i don't want to weld everything in until i get the driveline back together. Seats are on the way from PRP, so i can mock them up and get the roof height exactly where i want it.
Rear Suspension is complete, 35 spline shafts and bearings are in with a dummy carrier. I have the gears but installing them now really isn't important on the list of priorities.
The claws are the rollers i got from Doug, 5x5.5 bolt pattern. Truss still needs to be finished.
(took this picture before i welded up the caliper and bracket for that side. also that trans mount is very much temporary, the real one i designed is being laser cut and bent for me this week)
Clearanced the rear crossmember for the rear output of the Atlas. Need to fill the slot (that's what she said)
The frame is set at ride height, on yes a wood chassis stand. It is completely leveled side to side and front to rear and works well for what i need. The money isn't there to build a legitimate chassis table and plate for this rig in this place.
brake assembly on the axle. Rear axle is a semifloat low pinion D60 with 35 spline shafts.
I literally have multiple shelfs of parts just sitting waiting.
Aside from shelfs of axle parts there are boxes of shocks, fuel cell, radiator, AN fittings and hoses, Autometer Ultra-lite gauges, engine components, E-fans, johnny joints & links, brake parts, pedals, etc etc.
I've been really busy with work and school, unfortunately just working on this thing weekends and for a couple hours cause i don't feel like working in the cold, makes for slow progress.
Next weekend i'll have motor and firewall pics up, with them back on the chassis. I plan on welding up the front link crossmember and mounts as well.
I finally feel like i've gotten to the point where this thing can really start to come together, a lot of this process is having the parts you need.Last edited by Zullock Holmes; 02-23-2012, 12:53 AM.No worries, I'm not actually back, I'm just reminiscing about the old days.

I gotta weld up the shock mounts and airbump pads as part of the finished truss. That truss thats on there is actually an off the shelf prototype from when we were re-designing our production truss that comes with the long arm kits. Free and sitting in the shop, can't turn down that kinda logic. No worries, I'm not actually back, I'm just reminiscing about the old days.

no. being bent at the angles they are, at full bump the middle part is completely flat, allowing me to put the fuel cell literally as low as i possibly can without contacting the links.
Allows me to mount my fuel cell a full inch and half lower than with straight arms.
It might be redneck back yard shit, but i'm doing it right I refuse to spent my money and my time on something that isn't done right. No worries, I'm not actually back, I'm just reminiscing about the old days.
