Got the motor in place today with the new TF 999 mounted up.

Got all my measurements and designs for the motor mounts and tranny mount all good to go.

Will get some pictures up during the week, when the drivetrain isn't still floating under the hoist

busy weekend, truck is starting to take shape.
No worries, I'm not actually back, I'm just reminiscing about the old days.

          Quick update with some pics.

Front crossmember under the motor is temporary, put it in there to prevent the frame from moving until i start on the front half of the chassis. long way from finished. I do have 2 lengths of tube on order, so after the holiday i'll get that crossmember outta there, weld up all the brackets for the front suspension and get the axle under there, make the tranny mount, and get rolling on the bending.

The mounts are beef, .25" wall tube, clevite bushing, 3/8's grade 8 hardware, the frame plate is made from 3/16, the foward chassis/ grill hoop will mount upward off of where the frame is cut there. I wanted mounts that would make easy work of pulling the motor, and leave enough room to allow for me to fit a different and more powerful drivetrain down the road.

          Passenger side motor mount:

Past two weeks brought some changes too, basically i decided it wasn't going to be worth it to put all kinds of money into a dana 300, so i priced out an Atlas 3.8 and pulled the trigger. She's on her way!!!!

          Still a lot to come!!!

Will post up some pics of the rear setup soon, the suspension is all set up i just have to weld up the frame brackets for the uppers and finish that truss and put some upper link tabs on it.
