  • Got some work done this morning, but holy balls it hot and humid.

    Looks like I should clear the arms full lock. Gonna be close with the other tires, but with the backspace it shouldnt be too bad.
    I also ordered the wrong upper mount. its a 10 degree mount and it faces the wrong way. I stuck it on there just to get an idea of where the upper link will go. Looks like its got plenty of room. Should work out well. only problem I foresee is clearance at the top of the bracket since the jeep is still pretty low. But I think will just clear.
    The lower links ended up being 23.5" center to center so they arent too bad, definitely a "mid" arm.

    • I just ordered a 0 degree link mount from ruffstuff. It is a little shorter also, non adjustable. Which should be just fine. Then I can get the upper link set and weld everything up

          • looks good, but i would try and find a new spot for that trackbar mount.

            im assuming your not going to run high steer. Why mount it so high, and so short?
            That bracket dosent seem like its going to work good. try your best to get the trackbar parrellel and the same length as the draglink.

              I saw a thread on naxja I believe were a guy ran his TB mount to the inner C and and made a mount off of that, that made the TB long enough to work perfectly.

                    Yes, yes we will. My plan is;
                    Local easy trail cruise to make sure nothing falls off.
                    Local hard trail, hammer down, make sure nothing falls off.
                    Mabell. Find weak links.

                        • Got some parts. All my steering and track bar heims. I also got my new upper link mount. I got that welded up and mocked up, looks like its going to work well, also got what I think is a good idea for my track bar.

                          You can see the safety misalignment spacers in one heim for the tie rod.

                          This is what Im thinking on the track bad. I will trim the top leg to lay it back some, but I think it will work. angle makes it look worse than it is. I also taped the future line of the drag link to check clearance and it looks like there is plenty

                          • i know you probably dont wana hear me critique anymore. BUT.... Is that a polly on the upper arm? Im not going to say it wont work, but its going to be shit in no time. save yourself the frustration and throw a hiem there. Thats the way i did mine at first and quickly realized its less than ideal.

                            the track bar location you have seams ok, and its hard to tell in the pictures how long it will be and how high. worst thing that happens is you cut it off and make a new mount and trackbar.

                              I hear ya. I intend to swap it to a heim. But for now, I dont have the extra cash. I have a couple sets of new poly bushings so well see how long they last. Its the only one in the whole setup, so I think it will last a little bit. Not expecting it to stay though. Funny thing is though right now on ruffstuff I have the heim and adapters saved in my cart. Just teetering back and forth on ordering it.

                              Top of the track bar bracket will probably get cut off and Ill use the lowest hole. Im going to shorten the upper leg some too. With my track bar outside the frame the length compared to the drag link will be very close, as well as the angle. Like you said though, if it doesnt work, ill cut it off and try again.
