Puled the motor out of a 1999 silverado on Friday, runs like new with 145k on it. Brought it to the shop, spent Saturday cleaning the top end, had to take the intake off to get it out of the truck, so i replaced all the seals up there, and did the rear main seal while it was easy to get to. Only pick i took was the top end without the intake on, but i hot tanked the intake manifold, cleaned the throttle body, and reassembled it, then steam pressure washed the whole engine. Sending my wiring harness and PCM to Wayne on Pirate next week

"Bomb proof" motor mounts from M.O.R.E. are here. Figured i'd take the guess work out of engine placement, and j-20 pitman arm for the astrovan box. Yes i'm getting rid of full hydro. There is "float" in the steering that i don't want. Talked to one of the guys that builds the ultra4 rigs at PSC and he suggested selling my full hydro and going assist. Will be just as strong but with much tighter steering. So i picked up a astrovan box from a pick-n-pull for a wooping $38 from a t-boned van. BTW if anyone needs a astrovan box i can pull them easy, and there are plenty of them in that yard that i'm sure would be in great working condition.

Any opinions, i was trying to save money and just leave the mechanical fan for now and buy a duel electric fan later, but is there any real advantage of doing it now? If i leaving the wiring and space for them, i should just be able to buy them and put them in later right?1991 YJ, 1 tons, locked, lots o armor, stretched, cage

Mine has 145k on it and runs like new, today i added the fuel rail pressure gauge, a new autometer 0-100psi oil pressure sending unit, final mating of the tranny to the engine with the aftermarket spacer, and drilled tapped and helicoiled the header bolt that was broken off in the head.
My AA adapter comes friday, and will install it next week. It a adapter housing, vvs, and new input shaft for the np2311991 YJ, 1 tons, locked, lots o armor, stretched, cage

Got the drivetrain together today, and am getting the body ready to go back on the frame for mock-up.
Decided to use the old rockers in the rocker of the body, will make for a great place to make the floors from, and make body mounts, and cage mounts.
