Got some stuff done today, front kings are mounted perfectly front ds is shortened and got some other minor things done.

To mount the shocks I used some tabs from Ruff Stuff and some stem eliminators from teraflex.

The eliminators needed the powder coat wire wheeled off the bolt otherwise they were nice, shock tabs worked mint. I mounted the shocks so that at full droop the coil is off the bucket less that 1/2". The truck wil be limit strapped at some point so the coil doesnt leave the mount.
    Full droop

Then I went on to shorten the front ds 3/4". First time doing this and it seems to have come out decent.

I started by cutting a nice straight cut around the tube on the factory weld, then used the cut to run the grinder in and make it into a bigger grove.

Then i switched back to a cut off and finished cutting the slip off.

I removed 3/4" of material and then continued to set the slip back in place and burned it in

Fresh coat of hammered grey and its lookin like new!

As you can see in the last pic I also hooked up the filler neck and mounted the fuel tank, The trunk floor is not 100% so i just did this to get it safe to wheel at NAC Fest

So this thing made it through a weekend of beating the ever living piss out of it... Had no working gauges but my guess was that it was running at 230 plus all weekend and it still runs great

Ran some crazy stuff such as otters jotters trail 5 hill climb and all kinds of lines in devils den. Only issues I had were lack of rear shocks causing wheel hop and losing the exhaust so in my book for a hacked together jeep it wheeled great .

            Devils den

            Hill climb back behind jotters

            Otters

Oh and i began modding the rockers for clearence similar to phil

Tommorow I plan to get some shit done. To start Im going to run a piece of 2x2x1/4 in between the rear wheel wells for my shocks to come up through the floor and mount to. Im also going to try to re seal the oil pan and maybe get some lights working.

Did some more work on this POS a friend of mine gave me a mint header panel with lights grill and bezels so i slapped that on looks so much better!

Also found the ground that wasnt connected which was causing me to have no gauges, hooked that up and theyre all working!

Also went and dropped the bent crossmember and fubared drive shaft.

                            • hey, the splines might be fine, but make sure the output shaft is not bent. i fubard a driveshaft like that before and the output shaft looked fine.... fixed her up and drove down the road and vibrated my jaw apart.

the output shaft was slightly bent
