pre 2000 chebby diesel is junk. ford 97-01 powerstroke is the 7.3 which is pretty cool except the trannies. And I dunno about dodge. 200k is pretty high but if it's well maintained then it might not be too bad.

oh and for the record I asked my ford till death friend about the 6.0 vs the duramax and he said quote "the d-max like frankie's (07 d max with the 6 speed allison) would rape a stock powerstroke. The powerstrokes go, but thats it, nothing special till you chip them."

if you get a chevy, do not get anything but the 6.6l. the 6.5l and the 6.2l were awful. the 2500HD will be fine for you if you are towing 1 buggy

cody, I dunno what your price range is, but if i were looking for a good DD truck I would go with like an 04 and up cummins or duramax.

97 TJ that I think is pretty neat.

I had that 01 cummins for 2 days and loved it. I was getting over 20 mpgs with it.
