      no chance in firey hell that a stock powerstroke would beat a stock duramax with the 6 speed allison. Only downside to chevy diesels in my eyes is the IFS.

        its the truth all my jobsites only have fords powerstrokes there (including me). every once and a cummins and the only chevys you see are the older k20 and k30s gas jobs.

                Go stock for stock towing 15k Powerstrokes are strong from the factory.

                For the record, its a motor ment to haul, not race. I love my powerstroke and ive abused the living hell out of it with no issues and its a 6.0L. ive raced it fully tuned to pulling 20,000lbs and i daily drive it. Im happy.

                  Mods = 4 inch turbo back exhaust, SCT Excalibur ll, 2 inch lift, 35's. no weight shedding

                  2005 Dodge ram cummins (AJ Condon)
                  Mods = After market trans, turbo, stacked box's, injectors and god knows what else, he cleaned out his truck, removed his tailgate

                  me failing at a launch, built to much boost and let off then had to get back on it at the green, and i still beat him at the end.

                      i pull the mountains out at rc doing 80 and have to slow up lol. i honestly wouldnt trade my truck for anything but a newer ford.

                                Dunno, mines survived. Again most diesels are fine until you tune them. The key is to get a aftermarket trans, head studs and never look back.
