Buy a transfer case with an sye and a clocking ring
Have rear driveshaft u joint cause me to shit my shorts on a few occasions because of the vibrations... pull drive shaft to have u joint caps break into dust when removed. GREAT TIME TO Put in new t case.
Attach clocking ring on the wrong side to clock the t case down
re-attatch clocking ring the right way... attempt to put t-case in... clocking ring studs don't line up take t-case back off... falls on pinky finger.
Drill out holes a touch to accomidate the clocking ring. I get t-case clocked correctly and studs lined-up THE BISCHHHHH won't slide on the shaft.
Buy built XJ that was "wheeled lightly", checked it out seemed like good deal. while driving shifters become too hot to touch, sounds like bi-plane trying to take off from under the hood and the whole thing feels like you're riding in a paint shaker: Part jeep out for pennies on the dollar...

AND then... the transfer case that was freshly rebuilt from PO ( or so he says) leaks like a sieve at the SYE and i lose ~$25~ worth of amsoil ATF.

So I met a girl at the bar the other night, we went on a date tonight. Well We are almost to our destination and my fucking jeep starts sputtering so I get off rt 9 and Ion to rt17 or Main Street in middletown. IN THE FUCKING GHETTO! just replaced passenger side wheel bearing and ujoint a few months ago. dont do the drivers side because the wheel bearing was almost new and ujoint seemed to be sound. did new brake pads the other day, when i pulled the drivers side caliper off, bam! the ujoint is in 50 pieces. i know what the jeeps getting this weekend. fucking love jeeps.

I am taking my old t-case to Appalacian off-road along with my AA SYE kit and have them install the sye and I will put the old transfer case I know works in mah damn Jeep.

You can deff do it yourself. I completely tore apart my last one, put all new seals and bushings in it and the sye. It was not that hard. And it worked amazing, Jon Maru is a lucky man for having that case now.
But fo suppa serious, that really sucks.
Did you put your upper control arms in yet??? Do those at least work
