      How do you mean? How about this. This is MIG on uncleaned metal. You should clean the scale off the metal you get if its hot rolled, it will weld much nicer.

          Ah. Its all seat time. You should be learning something everytime you lay down a bead. Also, if you are welding outside you may be blowing your shielding gas away so when its windy it may suck. (flux core sucks but in the wind its money.)

            You're right, it's all seat time and I definitely learned a lot just in the 2 hours I spent welding already.

                TIG is nice, I started practicing for my TIG stamp at work a few weeks ago. Versus stick you don't have sparts falling on you when you are running overhead with TIG. I am going to say I actaully like scratch start with no pedal for steel

                        Let me get this straight, if the weld is jumping all over the place, the wire speed is to high? im welding some things for my bumper and can't control the bead.
