          UPDATE:

cut off the lower control arm mounts.

trimmed the fenders out a lil more.

          trimmed/high lined the rear quarters.

getting ready for gas tank tuck. i got a skid to use as a tray to drop the tank in. once i cut out the floor.

          and i painted it

sanded and painted the entire underside of the jeep black. sanded down the body, full coat of gray primer, sanded again, 2 light coats and a finish coat of gloss white, painted the lower section black, and did some red pin stripping on her.... lookin sexy.....

Project Casper ensues, looks good from here. Do you plan on running any means of a flair to keep it looking this clean?

Sometimes being legal and somewhat clean has its benefits.

well since the other jeep is gone i now have extra motivation to get this one really going.

did the gas tank tuck. used a stock skid as a tray and dropped the tank in. the skid is bolted threw the unibody rail and the tank is held in with straps and i sealed it with great stuff.

with my axles out im going to clean them paint them. make high clearance rear shock mounts on the rear axle. new front axle seals and a set of chromo axles.

gotta order up the long arms and 5150's and bolt it all back together

as for progress on the jeep itself.

i coated the whole floor inside with rust-oleum textured truck bed coating. shit looks mint.

also stripped, cleaned, and painted my axles with a fresh coat of shinny black paint.

made some front axle bump stops with some hockey pucks, and replaced front inner axle seals.

                              pics up later.
