And not for nothing, and Ive never ever talked bad about anyones fabrication skills on here..ever..and that is because everyone needs to start somwhere and build their skills, and I'm not going to name any names. But there are some people who do talk crap about other peoples fabrication when they themselves have ZERO right because I have never seen any proof myself they their own fabrication is indeed superior, or have even attempted anything close to the sort that is going on here, and I do know the difference between talking crap, and expressing ones opinion as to what they think is better or worse but out of respect, letting that person do as they please without constant badgering.

i agree, he wants leafs so put leafs in it its deifferent
i think that it looks good, you have more clearance under the frame rail than with the rough country crossmember.
I know you said you are going to change them, but the shackles are the only thing that hahaha for lack of better words need to get changed, the ones on there now, kill your approach.
See joe, i waited to see pictures..... I think it came out great, i mean it deff is out of the ordinary, but simple works and i see no reason this won't be an effective setup for you. Good stuff man and armand
No worries, I'm not actually back, I'm just reminiscing about the old days.

10 bucks says it rides stiffer and there is less body roll than there was before.
and just curious, facts to back that up??
idk how it rides its not done yet. shortly after those pics were takin i took it all back apart and put the 30 back in and drove home haha. i dont have the high steer knuckle yet and im getting new leafs and shackles to change the approach angle and better support the weight.
itll be done next weekend and you will be the 1st to know how it works pasta

The perches arent centered at all, we were just loading the leafs with the axle under it for funzies..haha
Looked back at the pics and I see that now... Guess you will be notching out the driver side perch to put it on top of the casting, pretty much par for every 44 setup I have ever dealt with. Get Joe to split the cpst of that belt sander with you!
Still any thoughs on running the shackle at the rear of the spring?
The setup is so simple I'm sure we will end up playing around with it at some point, and yea Joe modified the perch and the casting to make everything work.

Just leave them be. They will do what they want to do whether we like it or not. Maybe it will work. Quit drinkin' the haterade and just see what happens. When/if it fails miserably then bust bawls. ya dig??
I'm sort of excited to see how this turns out. On one hand I say why the hell not because it is something different and may be ok. On the other hand, your Jeep was a very capable rig with the setup you had and this could totally ruin it. Let's see what you kids can do
