I don't plan on wheeling my rig like blue rain, and i haven't snaped a shit ton of shafts and a locker yet. I made it through more than a handful of adventures on my 30/8.25 without breaking anything, im not too worried about myself on a 44/60. When i do make my shit a full blow trail rig i will be building a 60.

Im not trying to flame you for building a 44 for 37's, but after all the breakage you've seen i just figured you would be fed up with that axle by now.

Sam... theres a time in every boys life when they need to build bigger

for you, you abuse the living shit out of the Dana 44 and it has proven to let you down to much. for it is time to grow up to the the mysterious Dana 60...

next time you blow your 44, im gonna say i told you so...

i am, but its still cheaper than a 60.

i originally had it on alloys and the detroit, then i snapped the alloys and began putting cheap shafts in it. and they say when you snap a shaft the detroit side gear gets stripped.

well instead of one shaft breaking one gear, it took me 8 shafts to break 3 gears

I like those JKS acorns. But they are wayyyy to nice for the freep. I'll just keep my eyes peeled for a 1.5 spacer.

the truss is made from 2x6x5/16" wall

for the bumpstops my stock towers were mangled at the bottom, so i cut an inch off and welded in a small section of schedule 40 tubing which is the same diameter as the towers, the coil inserts sit in there snug, which is what i wanted so thye wouldnt flop around in the coil. i am goign to make a small round plate with a hole in the middle to go between the acos and the bumpstop, it will "float" in there (didnt wan't to weld it incase i ever want to get the acos out) and give the coil insert a flat place to compress against without damaging it.

Did your Jeep take the ground with it when you took it vertical?
I was going to ask if you got the Canyons on the MJ but I could see you havent.
