a little late night shopping spree........ i've decided i'm gonna go foward with narrowing the hp44 i have and running it up front, to eventually eliminate the dana turdy. so i just ordered some HD ball joints from poly performance and a master install kit for my gears.
This is gonna be my main project after OER and will probably include the bump up to 4.5 of lift.
which reminds me.... does anyone have access to a sandblaster?? i gotta see what i'm gonna do with these knuckles.
No worries, I'm not actually back, I'm just reminiscing about the old days.

its a ford HP 44 center (donor axle is from a 77 ford f150), gonna run a detroit, 4.56 gears, probably those Crane inner c's over on poly performance, i'm gonna use chromoly waggy inners and run ford outers. I'm either going to order chromos for the rear to change the lug pattern to 5x5.5. but idk what to do yet there. whole thing is gonna get trussed. I know its alot of work and money for a 44, but it suits my needs for my xj. i don't plan on running any larger than 35's with this rig.
i would totally say yes, but honestly i wasnt even gonna put it for sale over here. I wanted to see 600-700 outta it, so it can cover some of the cost of the 44.
i mean its worth it. 4.56's with less than 1k miles, professionally installed, 760 u joints, HD brackets, reemed for 1 ton, (i may let the tie rod go with it). It'll be trussed at that point, the only disadvantage is no locker.
