figured id start a thread for my 1989 thunderbird sc, considering its been getting more attention recently than my comanche project, haha.

bought it up in North Canaan for 3800 with 74,000 on it.

specifications are as follows:

1989 Ford Thunderbird Super Coupe
Essex 3.8L V6 SC
Eaton M90 Supercharger
Mazda M5R2-RKE 5 Speed Transmission
8.8 IRS w/ Trac-Lok LSD
"Mach 1" fiberglass hood
OEM Cougar rear spoiler
Aftermarket performance resonator
rear muffler delete, increased outlet size to dual 2.25" open
3.27 carrier out of a 95 LX to replace the stock 2.72 gearset

modifiications pending:
2000 Cobra R style rear spoiler
1999 Cobra 17x8 recons
BF Goodrich 255/50R17 G-Force T/A
rear cobra irs hub conversion
93+ front spindle/cobra hub bearing assembly conversion
front 13"/rear 11.65" Cobra brake conversion
SCP high flow 2.25" downpipe/cat assembly


ive since re-installed the stock wheels/tires cause they look better, ive gotta get some updated photos too

OMG you're so cool i wish i could be just like you m3 man!

just installed 3.27 gears to swap out the stock highway gears, everything is smoother now, im cruising in overdrive instead of 4th,and the shiftpoints have improved dramatically. install went very smooth. the car has been taken such good care of as far as not being driven in winter that all the bolts came off as if they were freshly installed, not like they were 23 year old new england bolts

just about finished peeling off the last of the shitty old tint from the back window, a few scraps still remaining. anyone know of a good tint shop in the area that wont kill me on price?

i use tint works in hamden...carl does someof the cleanest tints ive seen...and lifttime warranty against peels/bubbles/cracks. jamaican jeff ismy 2nd choice

I used tint works twice great guys great reaults. Jamacian jeff comes to u and is one funny morther fucker to boot lol.
