Thanks to RJ and Mike for helping me with the mounting and balancing

So since I'm not going to RCROCS, I might as well work on the Jeep. The "popping" noise coming from my front end was the track bar bracket. I ended up putting a 1" weld (in shear) because I'm tired of that thing coming loose on me. I also found a nice patch of rust on the uni-body rails which might need some plate welded over it later on. For now though I ground the rust down and undercoated it. Pics up later tonight

Here's a picture of the weld that I put to hold the bracket in place. I only made it about 1" long. Its put in sheer with the force from the track bar. If anyone else wants to do it, I recommend putting the weld in the same spot.

IMO Its a design flaw by RE for putting the horizontal frame bolts up so high. I think this was done though just to make it a "bolt on" install.

RE also makes a brace that goes across to the other side of the uni-frame for that exact reason. I've heard of those brackets coming loose all the time, even after welding similar to that(not sure if they did it in sheer like you did there). Hopefully that holds up.

Yeah I want to get the unibody brace eventually. I think it should hold up considering I don't do any crazy stuff with my Jeep at this point

or you can just put in 9/16 bolts and add frame stiffeners...bitch
