At some point I may make an upper piece to make it double sheer but definitely not totally necessary.Attached FilesDan.

I got the steering bled and all the other fluids filled and got to play a little today.
The steering feels great. I wasnt really sure what to expect and so far its as good as I could have hoped. I didnt get to go too far but I cruised around the property at our garage for a bit and it has good wheel return, good feel. A little different but not bad. I also had 3psi in the tires so it should be a little better on the road.
There are a bunch of jersey barriers around the shop so I put a tire on one of those and even with the tire folded over, and stuffed up against it the steering never felt any different, could still be turned with one hand easily.
The cases feel awesome too. Again, hard to tell until its on the trail but man, low, low is awesome. 4:1 feels really good too and I can see my self using that quite a bit I think.
Also, Im happy to say that the trans seems to shift fine. At least up to 3rd gear which is as far as I got, but it seemed good to that point so I think its ok. No speedo but thats fine for now.
Hopefully I will get it up to mabell this coming weekend for a shakedown. Just a couple small things to do.Dan.

Note to self though, to do front dig, hubs must be locked
I clearanced the brace/plate that goes in the opening for the diff today at work so Ill get that bolted in and be ready to smash into stuff this weekend!Dan.

Anyone want to try and talk me in/out of REALLY boat siding this thing. Which would result in either permanently removed doors or really short doors with no glass as it wouldnt roll down.Dan.

I went to the top bodyline on my comanche, due to fuckin rust i didnt really have an option. We were able to relocate the lower door hinge, cut the doors, and cap them off.
The window rolled down almost all the way with the exception of like an inch. Honestly the rocker being that high was more of a hassle than help and I would never do it again.. it was a pain in the ass to get into, a had to do a bunch more floor and door work, and sometimes they were too high to just put your rocker into a rock and or tree and pivot around.95 xj JY 3" 35" truxus mt's

Yeah, there would be a lot of other work besides the doors and rockers. I would plate the bottom of the rockers to the frame essentially and cover it with uhmw.Dan.
