I agree... I really like the front other than the web site. I'm not a fan of huge things on the back, but I'm sure you could do something on the back with a little bit less going on.

i see both sides of the fence, on one hand i am designing on a short budget, which limits the amount of renderings/versions i can make, and how much i put into each. i could surely spend a bunch of time making a 'big market' style t shirt, but that would probably not be financially applicable for rausch. my skills arent sharp enough to make a truly stellar t-shirt in a couple hours normally, so that is a shortcoming here...t-shirt design i am not as strong with as i am web, film, or print otherwise

on the other hand, you have a 'dated' style versus a 'modern' style, which i agree with as well. if this t-shirt was for HMC and there was no budget simply because i dont pay myself obviously, it would certainly not look like this or go this direction, i'd go overboard and probably go the direction a few of you mentioned.

its about finding the balance between how much can be afforded to design it, and who will be buying it.

this all is also why the RCrocs DVD is 45 minutes long and not an hour 30 long. all relative, and its easy to overlook in the scheme of things
meh, nvm. I was simply trying to help. Nick argued my argument with the exact same point I made.

just that you have to think of what makes the most economic sense sometimes in favor of the route that may or may not be a more culturally viable option
thats exactly what I was saying, just Nicks side was that the community is more "older" "red neck" crowd and my side was what if the "bros" "flat billers" are out weighing that crowd now over time.

These were all just simple "what ifs" and ideas for the marketing assuming that if a poll was in place, maybe Bruce was trying to figure out a better design for the market because the old ones weren't selling as he would like, but apparently Nicole set me straight on that and I am now informed that I was wrong. Even though I never said you were designing for Quick Silver or Billa Bong, but just used them as examples of work.

You just get tired of the smart ass remarks sometimes, ya know. I was actually trying to help you

Supply and demand, you do a bad ass design that everybody loves with a happy medium and the shirts sells go up 50% over last years sells Bruce is going to be more inclined to be like holy fuck we should spend more money on HMC and marketing. Just food for thought, Ill go back to my respected corner now
You better decide if you are hanging on the cross, or banging in the nails

i dont see anything i said as being false or opinionated or shunning opinions otherwise

maybe im not getting it, but all i am doing is outlining the situation to better illustrate this whole thing. if someone cant afford a bad ass design, im not gonna spend time on one..i think thats fair in an economic sense.

if someone here wants to spend 8 hours and get paid for 2, then be my guest

they call that 'minimalistic' and its my preference as well..but i was told to design a shirt with a graphical back side, so i gotta form to that
