      i dont have any off road stuff yet, but a few things from the subie i can post later if my friend didnt leave for home yet with his XH bc otherwise i never uploaded any of the test footage to my mac. i blew my power steering up 2 nights ago

            Will, here are pics of the air cylinder RJ called you about last night. It is a square piston in a square cylinder, so it would be self aligning and not require an external guide. It is beefy as hell. The piston is hardened 8620 tool steel and the body is one big block of high strength aluminum. This piston is 3/4" x 3/4" and the stroke is 1 1/2".





            It was meant to be a linear actuator, so there are threads for (2) 1/4" NPT air fittings for the extension and return chambers. Just plug those and you have an air shock. Also, we could add pressurized air to the extension and/or return air chambers to vary the dampening if you find it necessary. I think it could work out quite well for this project.
