I've seen the viggens before. They are pretty cool cars. Don't know much about them though. A friend tried to sell me one at one point, but it wasn't really what I was looking for.

Here's my pile. 72 Chevelle, mild 454. Put out 550 horse and 569 foot pounds on a friends engine dyno. Was a T-56 car but that didn't last long with drag racing. Now it's a turbo 400 and I use it for recreational drag racing. Runs 11.70 at 118 with wheel spin. Need to work on the suspension more to get the time to match the speed.

Yeah 118 should be bottom of the 11's. What kind of 60' ?

Anywhere from 1.73 to 1.80. The converter is something I'm also going to have to have built. The one that I'm running now is just a cheap 3000 stall unit that came with the trans that I decided to try.

Oh hell, yeah that will do it. Should be easy to cut .3 off the 60', even .2 will probably give you .5-.6 on the big end if that things turns a little RPM

That's what I'm hoping for. I'm undecided as to if I'm going to invest in a converter or put a built 6 speed back into it. I really loved drag racing with a stick. Nothing like dropping the clutch off the limiter and lettin her rip! I spent a ton of money on an overly strong rear axle (strange 60) to take the abuse from launching with a stick and now it's kind of going to waste

                        .... Jeff?? Is that you?

Ha I'd add pics of my Jeep, but Will plastered a bunch of pics up in a thread a while back, no need to post more!

                        I have the 2009 Jeep SRT8. Right now it's at about 450HP, 12.65 in the 1/4 mile.

This summer it'll have a whipple supercharger, cam and headers. I'm so pumped! 10 seconds, here I come!

                        • Nice, I ran one mustang with a 3550. It was fun launching wheels up off the clutch but the car went almost .4 faster with an auto and trans brake.
Sometimes it would cough between shifts if it was still spraying nitrous or if the bottle pressure was low and last time it did it torched a head. No problems with the auto.
Put a brake in it with a good converter and let it rip

Not in a heavy car. Needs a 400 in that.

                                Fucking bad ass!

Thank you for not only owning a muscle car, but owning a muscle car that runs better than a 14.5 in the 1/4. I would say a good 95% of those things look and sound amazing, and then run like a turd. Chevelles are by far one of my all time favorites.

And I love my T56. I have about $2400 into it in parts alone, so hopefully I don't break it anytime soon. It's got the HD viper input and main shafts, along with all the other upgraded internal parts. It's been holding 600+ HP so far lol. Can't wait to get to the track this coming season and see what my car does. Hoping for a low 11 to high 10 at 130+ mph. Guess we'll find out in a few months.
