  • Other interests: Car guys come on in

I've noticed a few of you are car guys along with being into the wheeling hobby. With that said, lets see some pics of your other sports/muscle/tuner cars.

I'll start...This is the love of my life. It's an 86 trans am and was my first car when I got my license. I've owned it for 10 years, and spent the last 4 of those years restoring and building it. Just got it back on the road this past summer and man does it feel good to drive it again. Couple specs on it are a turbocharged 5.3 LS swap and T56 tranny, dana 44 rear axle, vette brakes, and a full aftermarket suspension. Last time at the dyno, it put down 563 rwhp at 11 psi.

So lets see what else you guys are into!

Guy said he didn't want it anymore and he'd have rather sold it to me for $50 than watch it go to auction for $500,000. Nice guy, forgot his name though, ended up buying his own private island somewhere in the Pacific...

i have a small turbo fetish

first wrx of mine had an 04 sti hybrid motor and a few bolt ons. unfortunately it was a curse and had many issues with impounds, tickets and getting stolen. ended up being stripped by car thieves in newark

had a 92 talon tsi at one point too

then another bugeye wrx. this was my pride and joy but i sold it like an idiot and 2 weks later the kid totalled it

          I drive a Datsun

nice car , i use to have my stepside 81 c10 with a vette block bored out to a 355ci motor, never had it dyno'd before i sold it though, would light up tires at a 20mph roll, hit 90mph in 2nd gear , and haul anything i needed.

Burton, I like the random eagle talon in your lineup of subies, lol. I'm assuming you didn't like it since you went back to a WRX afterwards? I've known a ton of people who have had subarus, my brother included. Definitely nice having that AWD in new england, thats for sure.

Thanks man, nice truck you had there as well. A freind of mine had an 87 longbed GMC truck that he lowered and had a nice gloss black paintob done on. Thing was gorgeous, but he got hit by another driver not paying attention, and the truck was totalled.

Nah, it's not, that Ferrari is worth 11 million dollars. I don't own any other vehicles except for Jeeps.

I was gonna say, there is no way that is true lmao. If so, I was going to ask you to stand next to me while I bought a bunch of lotto tickets.

LOL, that DSM pic is great. I've seen that posted plenty of times. Sounds like you've got some subie love! I helped my sisters BF do his clutch in his 04 STI...and when I say help, I mean I did it myself pretty much. That is by far the worst clutch job I've ever had to do. Never again could someone even pay me enough to do another one! Pretty nasty car though. He had a whole rotated kit on it with a precision (67mm?) turbo on it. Car made just over 400 whp. He ended up selling it though since he was getting his own place.

Had this. '89 MkII Jetta Coupe, no idea what the miles were, ran like a hybrid and burned gas and oil... and it still beat some Prince-purple e36 M3 in an autocross.

It ended up eating a telephone pole and burning to the ground. On the hunt for another one or some other fun car to autocross.

Edit: That Trans Am's paint is fucking immaculate. Looks like one hell of a fun car to drive!
