If by violence you mean full-scale war, then yeah you're right.

Doesn't look all that peaceful to me

The clashes--which continued to the next day and led a few hundred protesters to re-occupy the square--are the result of many Egyptians’ angry belief that the police will never be brought to justice for their actions. Families of some of the more than 850 Egyptians killed during the revolution went wild when earlier this week the trial of former Minister of Interior Habib Al Adli was once again postponed.

well, not that much violence on the grand scheme of things.

CAIRO — Thousands of protesters rallied across Egypt on Friday, capping a week of nationwide sit-ins to demand political change as anger grows with the military rulers over the slow pace of reform.
More than 28 movements called for the rallies to pressure the Supreme Council of the Armed Forces (SCAF) -- which took power when president Hosni Mubarak was toppled -- to respond to their demands.
In Cairo, thousands of demonstrators crowded into Tahrir Square, the epicentre of the protest movement that overthrew Mubarak in February and where hundreds have been staging a sit-in for a week.

yes, I want revolution. I want a government that's actually productive.
No worries, I'm not actually back, I'm just reminiscing about the old days.

              thats a general statement.

Our gov. is productive. shit gets done, there are just tons of hoops everyone has to jump through to get that shit done, and its because of lawyers and and all that bs. also its because people in power tend to be currupt and abuse that power. you can have a revolution and in a few years it will be the same way it was.

Do people realize that these are all elected officials? If people really cared at all, they'd vote all the incumbents out in the next elections.

You don't need a revolution, just stop voting for people who aren't concerned with the well-being of the country.

I have not missed a single election since i turned 18. I take pride in voting. I registered to vote on my 18th birthday.

The problem with voting is that there are enough mindless idiots out there that really just vote for whoever. I hate it when people just vote party lines. I have voted for both democrats and republicans. IMO there aren't enough people that look at the issues and a canidate's positions and their actions in previous terms.

Look at the republican landslide in the midterm elections. The people sent a clear message, you fuckers aren't doing a good job, here we come. I just home we can follow suit and continue that trend.

Our government gets very little done. The efficiency of lawmaking in D.C. is sickening. and the battle royale between the 2 parties does nothing but to slow the process even more.

So if people are too stupid to vote with their brains in elections, how can you expect a "revolution" to happen?

Too many people are dependant on the Government to begin with to stage a revolution against it. It's hard enough to get some people to vote, let alone care about what's going on.

                          Apathy will always win.

I can read just fine, yet i take "enough mindless idiots" to be the majority since they voted for the people to run a government that you believe is flawed.
