have you ever had a problem with a dana 35?

get a d44, i wheel that thing locked on 35's with a pretty heavy foot, the worst i have done so far is twisted the splines on stock shafts.

More for piece of mind, its more enjoyable to go out wheeling not worrying about weak links. I like to be confident that when i put my foot to the floor i am almost 80% sure it will be okay afterwards.

Not actually mine but when I worked at a garage I went to get a tj from the back lot (dirt w/rocks) and backed just over a small rock then put it in drive, hit the gas and it sent pieces of something into the diff cover and busted up the seal making it piss diff fluid everywhere. Ring gear broke off 4 teeth completely and 3 partially. Pin must have been part of the pieces on the bottom of the diff because it we could not I.D. it for the life of us. best part is we charged the customer $2500 for fixing the axle and $500 for "chemical waste disposal" for the fluid it pissed all over the yard . Her words "well thank god it happened here and not out on the road."

i blew one up on 33x10.5's un-locked (twisted the splines off the end)

my friend blew his up with a 4-banger on 31's locked

and i have been on the trail many times helping or waiting for people to fix their broke 35

And seriously guys, I asked one thing and had a poll, all I get is people automatically thinking im saying the d35 is the best out there, NO not at all. Yes people do have issues with them and thanks for showing what happened. If you rock crawl or are locked with a D 35 it might break, but seriously, moderate offroading with a d35 is completely fine... and by me having this poll was just a point to show myself that "most" people that say they are trash or garbage havent ever had a problem with them or even wheeled with one.
