I've read plenty of guys on NAXJA running 35's with a 29sline 8.25 i guess it would depend on your luck and how hard you are on it, but since it's there...use it, just get regeared

I have broken 2 yokes on 33s already and i will not weld it i would buy a locker. i will be most likely gearing to 4.56s. im not sure if i have a 29 spline i will have to check that out. i might just stick with 33s unless i have the cash to do all this.

        Do what I do.

456 on 33s. Lunchbox Locker. You'll be just fine.

Keep that until you get another axle and want to go bigger.

the 8.25 i have now saw 35's on 27 spline alloy shafts for like three years of heavy wheeling, nothing ever broke. i now wheel it on 33's pretty hard and i dont even worry about anything breaking..

putting a 44 with alloy shafts in within the next week though

                            just puttin it out there....

but a built to shit 60 rear costs about the same as a built to shit 44 rear.

a mild 44 is cheaper though. no shafts needed to change lug pattern and they can be found ready to bolt in

or some really old guy parting a jeep with a built 30/44 combo and pick them up cheap.... oh and the 35's were included for an additional minimal fee..

                                i would run 35's on a 29spl 8.25 all day. but id gear to 4.56 or 4.88.
