    I would think about doing way more than 4.88 with a 4 banger. O a point not covered, get rid of the d35 and get an 8.8 or 44.

                  a d35 with 35's even with a 4 banger pushing them is asking for trouble

                  my roomate has a 2.5l w/31's and it sucks, i cant imagine 33's let alone 35's

                              Depends if you have overdrive

                              I have a 1:1 4th gear with 4.56's and 38s on my Jeep, if I did highway driving I'd probably want 4.10s. But when I am in 4 Low, it crawls about 100:1. Theres other ways to acheive gearing besides ring and pinions.

                              However if your going to go with 35's, keep your stock drivetrain and do street driving, something even lower then 4.88s would be ideal

                                yes i could not agree more. With the reduction box we put on mikes yj and 4.56s it worked really well
