The bushing in my trackbar that goes into my drop bracket is and cut up and melted from using torches to adjust my track bar. i'll replace that and go from there

seems to me like you bullshitted your way to more lift.

its gonna drive like shit if your parts are shit. at 5.5" you need new steering, adjustable uppers and lowers at the LEAST, drop brackets or longarms if you want to have it ride decent, a GOOD trackbar, and not 3" coils and a giant spacer.

I have the trackbar drop bracket, adjustable trackbar and adjustable RE uppers, the jeep came with fixed lowers though. JCR one-ton is gonna happen in the near future. How much are you planning on selling it for anyway?

i agree, pretty much any play in trackbar is instant death wobble mania. check the trackbar relocation bracket bolts also. one of mine loosened up over time and eventually fell out allow the bracket to rotate with the steering wheel. constant death wobble above 25mph for the drive home that day was hell

I was told at the m&g that this had something to do with it. Where can i get bushings? i've read that some places sell the wrong size?

Edit: That would cause death wobble going on a completley flat road right?

i have had missing trackbar bushings and no deathwobble before lol

but generally, yes trackbar bushings are good for not having deathwobble

i replaced mine with polyurathane one from napa, cost like $15. the poly ones are 2 piece , you can buy the OEM type 1 piece also for about same price although you'd have to press it in.

can happen anytime honestly. the trackbar keeps your axle centered. play in it allows your axle to move side to side. this play at the right rythme can cause death wobble to my understanding. im not saying its the cause of your death wobble but at $15 and a little time to replace a part, which you know is worn out, it wouldnt hurt to do it either way. Bushings are cheap and more often then not they cause alot of clunks, looseness etc that people really dont realize. I've pretty much gone thru my jeep and replaced everything I could so far bushing wise. so much less clunking, tighter feeling etc.

As far different sizes i dont think so. Swaybar's come in different sizes on jeeps but the front track bar is the same on all models i believe

im gonna order 2 poly's from here http://www.suspensionconnection.com/.../1-1203XJ.html

Im pretty sure that it's the bushing cause i originally had d.w from 2 bad unit bearings, and used a stabilizer to band aid it. Now after using a pipe wrench to turn the end of the track bar, i get it all the time
