and 4:10's with 33's is not bad at all
im vewwy intewested in vissss..... (chinese face on)

i do not plan on going any bigger than 33s and i would invest in ring and pinions with lockers but why bother on an 8.25 27 spline and d30? i mean i have a kid and specifically for that reason i cant go crazy with time and money, so i figure an 8.8 and maybe even a d30 rebuild/ restrengthen will be a doable if i plan on locking the 8.8 in the future no?

the 30 is plenty strong enough for 33s, i have 35s on the dana 30 right now. You can get away with 33s and a locker on the 8.25 27 spline as long as you are not thrashing it.

The 30 can be upgraded with the 297 shafts

If you need an 8.25 (29 spline) with 3.55s mine should be out by the meet and greet.
2000 XJ with goodies soon to be in pieces
1999 XJ will get most of the 2000XJ doodads.
