the bold is my insight, the regular type is their website
NOW HIGHER CLEARANCE AND BETTER TIRE CLEARANCE! We use an exclusive, non-binding, 3 link setupnot a 3 link noobs, they dont even know what they are selling, but it does use one 10mm bolt to keep your axle in place that has a pair of front long arms that will flex more than you thought possiblecool, there is a thing as too much flex, and you can get it with any longarm kit. You WILL NOT bend these long arms as they are made from 5/16" wall DOM tubingThe bushings at the unibody are greasable super-flex joints that pivot to give as much suspension travel as your shocks will allow. We combine that with factory style rubber bushings at the axle for superior road noise and vibration dampeningand axle wrap? and a reason to carry a spare upper control arm bushing?. As always, this kit is 100% bolt on! ZOMG!NO WELDING and only minor drilling is required for installation. No adjustment is necessary in any part except for our unique caster adjustment bracket that allows 7.5° of adjustability; plenty for any lift height from 4.5-8"!! that caster adjustment is freakin goofy
Why Fixed Length?
Strength - With 2" x 5/16" wall DOM straight into the bushing tube, there are NO weak points on these control arms.yes beacause people constantly break their threaded joints in rock races and crawling comps and desert races, but i have never seen an iron rock longarm in any of these events The Iron Y is gusseted with 1/4" laser cut steel gusset for additional support. No threaded rod to rust, bend, mangle on rocks, or worse yet wear out and clunk! see last boldness
Control Arm/Axle Position - We have designed these arms to be the ideal length for your XJ for any lift between 4.5" and 8". Imagine you add our long arm upgrade to your 6" lift kit. Now 6 months later you want to go to 8" of lift. The axle will only be pulled back less than 1/4"!ZOMG JUST LIKE ANY OTHER LONGARM Remember, the arc that our ideal length long arm travels is always the same, meaning your tire will center perfectly in the wheel well on compression no matter what height lift you are running. ZOMG JUST LIKE ANY OTHER LONGARM
Easiest Install - You can't get it wrong. You don't have to match your control arms or worry about setting the right length because that is done for you.
SAVES YOU MONEY!!! - It costs us less to build so the savings get passed to you. ZOMG SO EZ!
Kit Includes:
1 Passenger side lower control arm.
1 Iron-Y radius arm I THOUGHT THIS WAS A 3 LINK, NOT RADIUS ARMthat connects to the upper and lower axle mounts.
3 piece high clearanceLOL, steel subframe assembly with built in optional transfer case drop
All required hardware.
Installation instructions.
i must say they have gotten better, but i wouldnt trust my jeep and my life with a set.

why not just save a few bucks and get a nice set of adjustable short arms? with the 600 bucks plus shipping you could get some short arms and maybe a locker or something. you are gonna be like ZOMG I HAVE LONG ARMS but cant go as far cause you will still be open open. I feel for a low budget build there is better stuff to spend your money on. Like lockers, skids, etc etc. Plenty of people in this group run short arms and have no problem stayin up with the long arm guys. just my .02 since you seemed to want to keep it a low budget build.Last edited by CumminsJeep; 11-09-2009, 11:29 PM.

I don't see anything wrong with my Rusty's long arms, but there is no way I would pay what I did for the kit again. I haven't checked around prices lately, but at the time I could have gotten the Treks kit for about the exact same price.
I also was checking out the new Rough Country setup, and it looks pretty good for the price. Lately I have been hearing good things about RC, especially their customer service so I expect this to live up to the hype.
With that said, I agree with Andrew. I don't see why the hell you would be looking to spend a shit ton of money on a kit for a rig you have barely started.

my girlfriends tj has a RoughCountry 2.5" lift in it. it was installed jan of last year. i was really impressed with its fit and quality as well as how its holding up and its performance offroad.

as ive said b4 if i were to go to the longarm i will be upgradeing the surrounding components as well. steering, trackbar ect... other than that what else is there to worry about. the jeep has one locked axle. its sitting on 3" lift. i have extended travel shocks and longer breaklines. gastank tuck. you say barely started but if i add the longarm and steering then lock th front its fucking built and still dident cost more than $2500
total rig cost now is $780
add long arm, steering, front locker, and trackbar $600 $300 $300 $130
and shits done for $2110#becauseJoeNitro
