I saw no lack of flex out of anyone last weekend who was running long arms Or short arms. The only big difference I saw last weekend was lockers and gears. and thats always the case. Caleb runs short arms locked front and rear with low lift, so does phil. Both of their Jeeps will runs circles around me just because they have a front locker. We all have the same tire size (calebs on 34s but whatever) but that front locker and 4.56s makes HUGE difference. And the stuff I went through fairly easily posted a bigger problem for jon and matt who are open open. They both have fairly build rigs that hold their own on the trail, but there were a few situations where both of them would have benefitted so much with just 1 locker. I wish I had 4.56 just so I could have that low end and not have to throttle the hell out of it sometimes. Noone here is picking on you, we are simply stating our opinions and trying to help you out. but you got your panties in a bunch because thats not what you wanted to here.

dude seriously I have nothing to say. sorry we didnt agree with you. sorry we didnt say OMG RUSTYS SUCKS YOU SHOULD TOTALLY GET ROUGH COUNTRY (o wait, we did). but geez man we give you opinions and you ignore them. you post up a thread asking for opinions only and its not what you want to hear so you cry about it. if you dont want anyone elses opinion dont make the damn thread. oh....and I was on 3.07s and 33s and had no 5th gear and half a 4th gear on the highway. I went to 3.55s and I have a strong 4th and a 5th that works fine on minor hills and flat roads. i cant imagine what 456 or even 410 would do for me. and you might as well be open with a limited slip in there. it doesnt do shit

alex was the previous owner of the LSD and he said it was always locked for him and worked great, never slipped on him. ive been doing possie burnouts up and down my street and its always been locked. im not saying its as good as a locker i know that. i had a full case detroit in my 96 it was awsome but i have yet to make the LAD slip.
i know and understand the purpose of gears. i never said that they wouldent help me just that i dont see a need running 32's. thats not to say that some day i wouldent consider doing it.
dispite what you all think of me i do know what im doing. i now realise after reading all of this that there wouldent be much point in longarms the way my rig is setup now. last night i got the idea in my head and was all wet over it.
you mention caleb in your post and doing well last weekend. hes locked f/r and i too plan on throwing a lunch-box in my d30 oneday. but unless he did it and dident tell me, he has stock steering. i know he has the parts for 1-ton but they rnt in yet. im pretty sure he made it out and home ok. jon has my old 1-ton and he bent the shit outta it. so everyone telling me im stupid and gay for not wanting to upgrade my components i do understand that they would be a wise upgrade. my 96 had all of that and thensome. but its not like if i dont have upgraded steering and trackbar and arms w/e that my jeep will just fall apart on the trail. 90% of breaking on the trail is driver error. if i were to have done the longarm i would have absolutely done the steering and surounding components. you make it sound like i was gonna slap a longarm under it and call it built NO. i guss what im trying to say is i agree with what you all say but just cuz i would do something diff than how you would dose not make my way wrong.
for now im going to stick with my budget build. its at $780 and i would feel safe and confident in it to get me out down a trail and back with no issues. i plan on leaving it that way as in im not going to be doing the next KOH race but i mearly wanted something that i could take out on a run or two when sis goes on runs.
the end.

For the record, I rammed a rock at a good speed with the tie rod twice (the second time Wills legs went into the dash...sorry buddy). Also for the record, I couldn't see the rock and the people standing in front of my Jeep felt so inclined as to say nothingI don't always drink orange juice, but when I do, I prefer to chew it. #madpulp

burnouts in your driveway and traction rock crawling are 100% different, but seeing as you dont wheel much its not your fault you dont know

you were not around during the realness ranch cut when his steering literally fell out of his jeep. the small castle nut stripped its measly threads and disposed the tre on the ground mid trail causing us to lay under it and fix it

no, you are driving a jeep ment for the road over big ass rocks, stuff happens, prepare your jeep accordingly

we were saying to use the money that you would spend on a long arm in other areas that need more attention first...

when you brake on the trail, dont look at me for spare parts, to help you get out of a jam, or to fix whats broken. all of these things i am more then willingly to do to anyone else, but you are so confident im sure you dont need any help anyways
so according to your theory. everyone in this club has all upgraded parts on there jeep and wont break anything because they have all those parts right. but you will be more than happy to help "them" fix stuff if they need help on the trail but not me cuz im stupid and left my stuff stock and deserve to break. if there shit is all beaf and upgraded why would they break?
i told you i know and undersand the point of upgradeing parts. i also told you my old jeep had all of that stuff. im not trying to argue the point that having upgraded components isnt a good idea. why must you be such and asshole.#becauseJoeNitro

Dana please do me a favor and ask Erich "4BangerTJ" how much i dont know how to wheel. if you cant find him "DOUG" and Chris "Riot" were also there.
last time i was out i wheeled my girlfriends 04 tj on 2.5" lift 31" dafinity dakota m/t's open-open.
we were out with a few ppl and after about 1/2 the trail he came up to me and asked what the hell was done to the tj because he could not believe how well i was doing with it.#becauseJoeNitro
