well if he sucked water in and it isnt idling, than it is most likely an idle issue. which could be an IAC or TPS or something. lets find out whether it is oil or water first haha

97 TJ that I think is pretty neat.

Lot of oil gets into my filter... doesn't affect the idle that much.

I told him to clean the IAC anyway, it improved my jeep's idle a lot. If only my tps bolts weren't stripped...

I was thinking it could be an air issue to. there was alot of oil. the bottom of the K&N was coverd and it was in the intake tube.

check ur vaccum lines, if one broke than it could be screwing up ur evacuation system. look next to ur manifold closest to the radiator.

did you clean the IAC yet? My old Jeep had serious blow by and would get oil in the air filter. I used to blow the crank vent with some air and it would be fine for a while after that

I reaplaced a hose that was basically closed and it was almost melted shut. The jeep runs fine but im going to clean iac anyways. it seems to be idle fine now.

sounds like you may have some blowby and need an engine overhaul
