i dont know if this would help but my xj did something similar and i got a front end alightment and it fixed it. probly not whats wrong with yours though.

if something hit the tryrod while he was wheeling it could've bent the tryrod and made it shorter, which then will pull the toe of the tire(front of tire) inward causing the "Death Shake"
