  • Dual Batteries??

Has anyone done this little project? I was checking out some of the kits they offer online, but just don't know if its worth doing it. Plus if i do it is there a way i can still put on a snorkel later on down the road?(i know its DAUL not duel)

      not needed.
both dual batteries and the snorkel

not a single person i wheel with uses more then one battery with a winch. just get 1 good battery.

Put your air filter in the cowl - then no need for a snorkel unless you looking to hit 4' of water. I'm planning on that mod this summer.

if your hell bent on doing it, don't buy the super expensive wiring kit... go to a boating store and get something like this: http://www.iboats.com/Ignition_Prote...-view_id.39362

If i were going to do it i would never pay for one of those kits. Everything is common stuff that can be found and built for much cheaper.

About 987234897234 other things for a jeep i'd rather spend my money on than dual batteries.

If you want something better than an Optima check out Odyssey Batteries.

why cant you just extend the battery wires and mount the batteries in your truck with a nice carpeted box that covered them? thats what i would do..much cheaper
