Looking to replace my 297's with some 760's.

Are the alloy USA ones worth the money?

Im not really sure. I know the Spicers are the best one you can buy over the counter but Im not sure how they compare. They are relatively the same price.

Petersons did an article a few years back when the 760 u-joint came out. The 5-760x spicer is the same physical dimensions as the old 5-297x u-joint, but it is an upgraded disign that they claimed was 10 times stronger.

I think unless you are running an aftermarket alloy shaft axleshaft, it is best to stick to an oem replacement U joint. Save the expensive, super strong U joints for the aftermarket alloy shafts.

I am guessing they are the same spec as the Spicers... They look the same, needle bearings, probably the same alloy steel. Do some research on the manufacturing and materials used, now I am curious.

Or just go with the Spicers.

Supposedly the Alloy USA ones are a LITTLE stronger than the Dana Spicers.

So since I got them for the same price, I orderd those along with Alloy USA Axle seals this morning.
