I didnt. No time or means or drive to deal with wrenching/ troubleshooting in the cold. Just wanna drive it

Driver side c clip doesn't come out until the other half of the locker is removed from the axle.

Did you try tilting the center plate a removing it that way?

Even tried rotating the carrier and see if it came out the other side? I can't imagine not being able to get that out...that's weird...

If all the pins and springs are removed then there should be enough room so that the teeth clear. How much room do you have/how much room till the teeth will clear? Do both side gears look equally inserted into their side of the case?

Hammer didn't work either, I suggested 5.56 but someone shot that plan down.

at this point just remove the shafts and take the whole carrier/ring gear out.

edit: you couldn't get the other c-clip out... hmmmm

Did you spin the center pieces in the carrier to line up the flats?
The pieces are larger than the carrier opening and have flat spots top and bottom to fit through.
Sometimes the opening is not even also, and one side is more open than the other.
