I was under the impression that he already had both and he was wondering what was the better option.

The current 44 he has under his Jeep has lock out hubs, and he has a 35 spline D44 airlocker sitting in a box that he has had for months now...

If it were me i would run the current yukon and sell the arb. They never seem to work correctly when you need them

I've heard the same thing about ARB air lockers.....

they break & the detroit in there now has worked without issue for years

I wouldn't change what you had unless it was broken.

That being said, not only would you need someone to install the new locker, you'd need to upgrade to 35 spline shafts (35 spl. arb) and change out the hubs obv.

Not worth the amount of time and money for something that already works just fine.

To note: I have never heard of anyone having issues with properly installed ARB's, and most of the trucks in and out of our shop either have them or detroits.
No worries, I'm not actually back, I'm just reminiscing about the old days.

You heard my opnion earlyer, but ill say it here. Run what you want but if you want to run the ARB Id say runthe lock outs too so that if you break a shaft or a gear set you can just unlock your hubs and drive out or drive home.
