        Tim, the final gear ratios in a NV3550(what you have) and the AW4(what most of us in XJs have) is pretty damn close
        4th gear on a AW4 is .75
        5th gear on a NV3550 is .78


        I was debating 4.10 and 4.56 when I regeared(i had a manual trans XJ then) and I went with 4.56 and loved it, it was nice and low but I could still do 70-75 on the highway with no problem.

          But also if you dont plan on wheeling a lot of rocky trails, and sticking with 33s and your axle already has 4.10s Id stick with the 4.10s due to cost.

            thatsd kinda what i am thinking and i just want to get it done right the first time but i also want it done on the cheap!
