  • Another Gear Ratio question

So i have an 03 Wrangler sport with a 5 speed. I am 307 gear now and i am looking to go up to 33's. I am trying to get as close to stock power as possible because i drive this thing pretty much only on the road. I was thinking 410's

I am looking for opinions i drive quite a bit of highway so i dont want it to be a pig!

    thanks

i have 410's lined up for my axels so i kinda wantedd to go 410 but if it was not going to help me i guess i could part with the cash to do it right.

finally found this again, but basically what youre lookin at is with 3.07 you are slightly underpowered for a DD on stock tires, with 4.10 ratio on 33s you are right in the DD range where you want to be so itll be less of a pig than stock with the new 4.10/33 setup. 4.56 will shoot your rpms to the moon i really would not recomend that route 4.19 is perfect for your needs plus you already got em lined up.

If it's a 6, 4.10s will be plenty good for alot of onroad driving.

oh and if you go with 4.10s DO NOT waste your money on a dana35, onroad or offroad you will blow the spider gears out of it qith 33's (I've seen it happen more than once).

first hand experience, i had a 4.0 33s 5 speed with 4.56's. Best combo, drove like stock, 5th gear worked well and off road had plenty of balls. i went to 35s with the 4.56's and it was still a killer combo

On my Cherokee 4.56 and 33s were awesome. 35s are still good. Go 4.56
