  • shock mounts

so when i bought the jeep it had no rear shocks the shock mounts on the body are broke off and u can see were someone tried to weld them but didnt do a good job idk what to do to fix this so they are strong

so youre talking about where they bolt in to the top right? like under your cargo area? if you would be able to get some pics wed be able to help you more. all that is there for factory shock mounts is two holes and like a bump for the top of the shock to rest in. if the bolts are broken then you can cut/drill them out and replace them.
check this out, see if it helps.

also, if you took out your rear swaybar you can make cheapo bar pin eliminators out of the endlinks like mine. 3rd pic down http://sisoffroad.com/forums/showthread.php?t=11271

here is the link on how to do that. http://www.lunghd.com/Tech_Articles/.../Rear_BPEs.htm

hope this helps, if not, post some pics and ill try to help

no not at all. i just used some self tappers to mount the bracket, then the cb just sits in that. the hardest part is figuring out the best way to hide the wires. i threw mine up and theyre starting to come down a little bit and the tape is falling off.
