new gear was 108 bucks from summit racing

oddly enough randys ring and pinion, a place that specializes in rearends and rearends only couldnt get me one.

but summit racing, a place that specializes in about a million different cars and a kazillion different parts of the cars could.

          just bought:

          jks acos spacers

          prothane coil spring inserts

2.5" progressive rate rear poly bumpstops

7/8" loaded heims for my upper control arm

one of my 4 edelbrock shocks came in the mail today

shits beef and comes with all sorts of goodies, where da fawk are my other 3?

still waiting on detroit side gear.

also today repainted a new hatch (old ones cracked in about 17 places) began welding my truss but ran out of gas very quickly

you smell adjustable lift height. i got em cheap enough so ill see how i like them.

              5-6" for pre runnin
              3" for crawlin

might ditch my sagged rustys coils for some v8 grand coils. i want something stiffer than 150 lb/in

gonna run the bumpstops for crawling to begin compressing as soon as the coils compress

probably gonna make a bastard pack for my rear

with v8 coils you won't be able to jack it up to 5-6 inches, probably 4 inches tops

and what would you plan on doing with the rear when you pre run, leave it at 3?

my coil buckets sit on top of my truss about 2" above stock

v8 grand coils net about 1" over stock

acos nets between 1.5" and 3.75"

the rear will be run at about 4.5"

the rear is a bit more forgiving because leaf springs don't unload.

my main reason for staying so low is for hill climbing ability, keeping the front tires on the ground is my main goal. The way i see it, is when hill climbing, if the rear is higher, then the vehicle is more level, thus putting more weight on the front end.

Looks like a nice unit though.

                        detroit is fucked to shit

to fix it, it would cost me more than the locker is worth

the piece i bought is the only piece in the locker that isnt broken
