                • bought a suckdown winch

dunno if im gonna use it though, or how i'm gonna mount it.

my front bumper is gone and my frame was cracked to shit

its plated with 3/16" 3/4 of the way around (can't get to the top) shits solid now.

gonna trim off the front crossmember and build a bumper into it. the bumper will be about a half inch in front of the header panel at the top and taper off to the bottom.

My leaf packs are now a 10 leaf pack consisting of re 3.5 and 4.5 leaves. they are a little stiffer, flex just as good and still wrap a little, but not as bad. I do have about 5" of lift in back now, but i think i can live with the back being a little taller. it's the front i want to keep low for hillclimbs

                  i thinks dats it

                  • i cut about 2" off the bottom of my front framerails and tapered the cut to the top. welded in some 2x6x1/4" and some shackles for recovery. plated with 3/16" all the way to my frame stiffeners, shits solid now. and highest clurrance its ever been.

also cut holes in my floor and made some shock mounts about 5" above the top of the framerails

new shocks are 8" travel and will mount to a bracket that bolts to the top of the u-nolt plate.

also gettin a tune up right now methinks.

                      • finally cut that trunk good shit.

and youll want at least 12s. im running 8s. you should reinforce the mounts with some 2x2 across the back wheelwell to wheelwell.

i feel it will be fine

my shocks are outboard of the framerails. i'm gonna plate the frame AT LEAST around that area if not the whole distance.

and when i did my fuel tank tuck i cut a lil extra for easy fuel pump access, so i have plenty of room in there with no further trunk sealing

now that i have them sort of mocked up 8" looks about perfect
