Great build! I searched this out after seeing the shots of your truck in Crawl.

agreed, you don't need to go that crazy on your front end.
I say we hide the tube inside the fender wells, straight forward from you A-pillars, and make one nice 1.75 hole through the upper corner of the grill just above the headlight.
Then tie into your stinger/bumper hoop (whatever you call it)
btw... pics of that xj. looks good, deff a good option, my thought is to pretty much completely remove any tube from the engine compartment alltogether.Last edited by Zullock Holmes; 06-29-2011, 07:23 PM.

Every chassis has flex.A matter of how much flex you want and where you want it to flex combined with how you want your car to handle is really what that "crossbar" is for.Unless you plan on doing high speed pavement turns a "crossbar" in that area wont be much use to you.

JUST GLUE IT MILDRED
Dizz that "crossbar" is there to tighen up the front end of the car coming into the turn giving the chassis less flex, rather than providing structural support.Im not arguing that it dosent provide support, cause it def does.Just thats not whats its there for.
