The D-Ring tabs took up most of the day, when i was cutting the steel i couldnt see my line so i made them way to big. Grinding those down took up a good portion of my day.

The dimensions and design are based off the stock crossmember. But since it wont be supporting a steering box anymore I left out the bend on the one side. Its still really ridged.

I'm not sure what else i'm going to do today i'm kinda at a stand still because i'm waiting on the tub to get back from street rod. As you can see thats not go along as fast as i would like but i'm glad hes doing a good job. I'll probably gusset that rear crossmember, but other than that i'm not sure. The Stock driveline isnt going back on this frame, as for what is i'm not entirely sure, but definitely something fuel injected or carbureted run on propane. What i'd like to see in there is a Chevy 350 in front off a TH350 with a manual valve body and a d300 np231 doubler.

          couple little things today...

made these gussets to help make that rear crossmember bulletproof

then cut out body mounts and got those tacked into place

Both rockers are done on the tub, and he was getting the floor cut out and ready for the replacement panels to be put back in. Notice he saved the jeep logo on the drivers side, wish he had thought about that on the passenger side.

some of you may have saw before i was talking about how we could build Fab 9inch housings, much like the spider 9's that you can buy. Here is one a guy made for another guys trans am thats going drag car. All it needs is a 3rd, axle shafts, bearings, and brakes.

Just for the hell of it, i decided to start bending some tube

i'm not leaving it like that, going to be finishing it off with a bull bar style stinger, and then tie those together with a bar kind of like this:

However i havent decided if i'm going to tie them together like the above picture or possibly curve the bars from the bull bar over the head lights to the hoop... something along the lines of this:

Help me decide before i go to class tomorrow.

and finally, a look at what got done on the tub today

ok you guys win the first picture is what we decided to go with.

We do have a couple notchers in the shop but this is primarily how we notch all of our tube.

                          Came out pretty fuckin sweet

The guy that was working on the floors got all the pans tacked in and that all he had time for i guess i'll have to finish it up myself.

We brought the Tub back over to our shop and we set it down on the frame. Everything lines up really well, just some small tweaking here and there but over all i'm really happy how it looks.

dont you wish you had that many welders...

ok so its been a few days since my last update, really been hustling to get as much done as i can before i graduate friday so i haven't really stopped much to get pictures. Tomorrow.... er today (wednesday) is my last day in the shop, so what i get done by the end of the night tomorrow is it for this build at Wyotech. At which time it will be moved back home in NY and its unknown when i will be working on it again.

I think at least some of you are expecting to see something so your in luck, I did happen to grab a few pictures today.

Its really starting to look like something sweet. I'm really happy with what i have been able to accomplish in such a short amount of time.
