I need to leave CT the 15th, but at the lastest I can leave the 16th as long as im back by Thursday the 17th at 7am.

I need to order tomorrow: 5.13 regular cut gears
33 spline dana 44 detroit locker spacers.

                • Mike Did you fix the rear shock bolts yet? If so dont waste your time drilling them out. All you need to do is take a good punch and hammer to the broken stud. Place the punch on the broken nub in the frame, Give it a good whack or two and the welded nut inside the frame should break free. its only held on with 3 tiny tack welds. Then you can drop a bolt and washer in from up top with some stiff wire. Its so much easier then drilling. If you drill you will still have that nut inside the frame and less room to fit in a new bolt. If you punch it out there will be plenty of room and a nice hole for a new bolt. Just try it on one and you will see what i mean.

Just trying to save you some aggravation and time.

                    • i bitched and moaned to a company in california for sending me the wrong yoke. they overnighted the correct part and sent me a prepaid box to return the old yoke.

this was when i was building my dana60 2 days before the first rcrocs, and swapped it in my jeep in ct 10 hours before rcrocs

                      • this may come to a surprise to many, but im actually "too nice" of a guy to be mean to someone over the phone. I hate bitching at people, it sucks.

I just talked to randys ring and pinon, and this guy on the phone is very knowledgeable and I MAY get the correct parts for Saturday.

                          • So quick update...

I ordered a new ring and pinon, pinon bearing, shims, and spacers today. If all goes well and I get it saturday, corey *should* be able to gear my axle on saturday, unless we run into more problems....

If the axle does get geared saturday, rear axle goes in sunday ( probably have to miss the M&G), bleed brakes, cut fenders, cut and reweld tracbar. Monday have driveshaft made, tuesday get everything tweaked and ready, and go back to Virginia.

But, I doubt I can go the rest of the time without hittng some sort of snag or screw up, and if I cant get the jeep done in time, its ok. Ill get my shit together, and I have another week of leave in January where I can come back and get my jeep back on the road and bring it home with me. So ill probably end up taking my dads old buick to virginia with me....

thats pretty low on his list of prioroties right now

and making the stock location work is alot less labor intensive than making completely new mounts in the cab
