Wasnt sure how i was gonna tie in the back. This is what i went with:

Now i just gotta drill a bunch of holes and take the cage out to finish some spots i didnt weld and paint it. I plan on adding some more tubes to the cage not sure if im gonna do that now or in the future though.

How hard is that to do? Just wondering swap the spiders and axle shafts?

Thanks. I just didnt know if their was a major difference and or if you had to swap out the member.

Cage is all done, painted and bolted in now

I have a back bumper now too. I welded the tailgate closed for now because the body was spreading so much the tailgate was falling out. You can see in the last pic of my previous post the back with no tailgate where i welded it back together at the bottom left corner. It is pretty rotted in that corner. I only put those little plates on there so that if i ever wanna make it work again I can. The bumper is in the way of the tailgate anyway so for now this works.

To do 31 splines you dont Have to switch the 3rd member, you really just need a 31 spline carrier because the axles dont fit through the 28 spline carrier; however it is just very easy to swap the whole 3rd member. I did it this way because i broke a few things and to replace them and get a 31 spline carrier and then set it up would have been much more work and cost more than the 50$ 31 spline 3rd member i found at a swap meet with the same gears i have. Ding ding we have a winner.

P.S. make sure you know what rear you have because there are a few different axle shaft lengths. The early bronco alone had three different rears all with different length shafts depending on big bearing small bearing or "medium" bearing.

I also made a fuel cell hold down:
