      ^^ Truth all Ax-15s are 23 spline, according to novak too.

        BUT... if you end up wanting a 23 spliner I have one thats in good condition. Just has a broken tooth on the reverse gear and needs to be re-assembled and it its good to go.

        How about 50 bucks.


        I also have a good 23 spline np231 i'll sell you if your transfer case wont match up. Or I think all you would need if you have a 231 is like a new input gear or something.

          ohhh balls, the person i'm gettin it for has a 88yj and the tranny is shot. I thought they made em with the 21 output, ohh well.

          i'll let him know ian, albany is a long way.

                I think that year would have had the Pequeot BA-10 or Ax-5, depending on the engine.

                  88 6cly had the pequeot BA10(shitbox tranny), you vould always find a transfer case and convert it...

                    If the YJ is an 88 I would also say its a Peugeot BA10 and if so I would be somewhat careful with the bell housing if you plan on saving it since they are somewhat hard to find. If you do plan to swap out the 10 for a ax15 here is a decent link to that swap (given Mike Moran is swapping one out of a XJ not a YJ)
